Rebekah's Studio | A Deer Park Country House wedding in Honiton Devon.

Deer Park Country House is a beautiful wedding venue located a couple minutes outside of Honiton in East Devon. There are plenty of options to choose from when getting married here. You may get married inside or have an outdoor ceremony, there is a lovely orangery to hire if you are having a large wedding reception, a dinning room to hire if you are having a small party or if you want something very relaxed you can make use of the pizza oven in one of the gardens. There are plenty of rooms available for guest to stay and a Tree house for the Bride and Groom if you are wanting something a little different.

If you are still in the process of deciding where to get married, do consider Deer Park Country House as an option, it really is beautiful and the staff are incredibly helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them, and if you enjoy food, you will love the meals here, they are delicious.

From my experience at photographing a wedding at Deer Park Country House it really doesn't matter if it rains all day (like Maia & Edward wedding - see photos below) or if the sun is shining, there are so many opportunities to get fabulous images no matter the weather.

Maia and Edward’s Deer Park Country House wedding took place on a very wet summers day in July 2023. The rain did not stop at all - all day. But this did not change any of their wedding plans. Maia and Edward wanted to marry outdoors at the Summer House no matter what, they were determined to not let the weather change their plans. So this is what happened, Maia and Edward got married outside in the very heavy rain - thank goodness for umbrellas, we all needed them! Once the ceremony took place everyone rushed back inside to dry off, some guest were provided with towels, others used hair dryers (see photo below) The photography continued inside for the group photographs, followed with the wedding breakfast and speeches taking place in the orangery. Later into the afternoon Maia and Edward had some photographs together inside Deer Park Country House and then went outside to embrace the wet weather for more photographs around the gardens.

The wedding photography coverage started at bridal preparation in the Tree House at Deer Park Country House and finished 45 minutes after the first dance. Having this extra time after the first dance meant I could capture some dance floor photos and a couple night photographs in the rain!
